One Milwaukee barber has gained attention for his efforts to provide a vaccine clinic for the African American community. Anthem is one of the partners supporting the effort.
Gaulien “Gee” Smith owns Gee’s Clippers and offers a weekly wellness clinic at the barbershop on North King Drive. Now he’s partnering with Anthem, Hayat Pharmacy, and Unite WI to provide COVID-19 vaccinations. Vaccines are available 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Saturday through April 17. Your clients in the Milwaukee area can visit hayatcovidvaccine.as.me/geesclippers to make an appointment, but walk-in appointments are also welcome. Gee hopes administering vaccines at his barbershop will help overcome doubts in the community.
