Anthem is expanding Covered California plans and returning to northern California
Anthem is offering consumers more choices with plans in new regions through Covered California. We are expanding and returning to Alameda, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Marin, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Mateo, Solano, Sonoma, and Yolo counties in northern California.
Anthem is ranked 1 and 2 in pricing in these rating regions:
- East Los Angeles/Rating Region 15: Including Alhambra, Azusa, Monrovia, Monterey Park, and Pasadena
- San Francisco
- Alameda
- Orange County
Seventy percent of individuals in those regions will qualify for $0 premium plans and more people than ever will have access to financial assistance.
Covered California has announced its plans and rates for the 2022 coverage year, which will include a full year of lower premiums under the American Rescue Plan.
The current special enrollment period will last through December 31, 2021. Open enrollment for 2022 begins November 1, 2021.
