In New Hampshire, individuals and families losing Medicaid have more time to transition to Marketplace coverage.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have extended the temporary special enrollment period (SEP) through November 30, 2024. It was scheduled to end on July 31, 2024. The deadline is being extended to allow more time for individuals who are no longer eligible for Medicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to transition to Marketplace coverage and remain covered.
You play an important role in helping these individuals understand their coverage options. Explore the Medicaid Renewal Broker Resource Toolkit for quick access to helpful materials and resources you can share with your clients who are no longer eligible for Medicaid or CHIP.
